A classroom

A board, and everyone around it

A live RoomHex classroom: drawing tools down the left, a shared board in the middle, tabs for people, chat, notes and a poll under it, and the room controls along the bottom.

The board is the middle of the room and everyone in it can draw on the same one. The tools sit down one side, and what the room needs beside the board sits under it.

People, chat, notes and a poll are all in the same room, so nobody has to leave it to run the class.

Starting one

Open a room, or join one

  • The RoomHex classroom screen: a card for starting a class with a name and a camera choice, and a card under it for joining one with a code or a link.
    Name the class, choose your camera, and start. A join code is made for you.
  • The row of drawing tools in a RoomHex classroom: pen, shapes, text, eraser and undo.
    The same tools for everyone in the room, whoever opened it.
  • The add-people control in RoomHex: a search field over an empty result area, with the choices for searching by name, extension or email above it.
    Add people from your branch by name, by extension or by email.

A cinema

One screen, in sync, for everybody

A room can be a cinema instead of a class. One shared screen, kept in step for everyone in the room, with its own chat beside it.

  • A live RoomHex cinema: the shared screen at the top, the playback controls under it, and the room chat down the side.
    What one person plays, everyone sees at the same moment.
  • The RoomHex cinema screen: a card for starting a cinema room, with a name field and the control that opens it.
    Starting a cinema works the same way a class does.
  • The RoomHex join card: an empty field for a room code, with the control that enters the room under it.
    Whoever has the code or the link is in the room.
  • The search control inside a RoomHex cinema room: an empty search field with the control that runs the search beside it.
    Search for something to watch without leaving the room.
